Restricting Viet Nam Entry for Foreigners in the Background of Acute Respiratory Infections caused by 2019-nCoV

Since February 5th, 2020, Vietnamese Government applied some regulations regarding the entry to Viet Nam of foreigners in the background of acute respiratory infections due to the new strain of coronavirus, novel coronavirus (2019-nCoV) as follows:

1. Temporarily not allowing foreigners from China to enter Viet Nam for the purpose of labor, business, international studies, visiting relatives, etc. (visas LĐ, DN, DH, TT, VR, etc.).

2. Foreigners who come to Viet Nam from other countries (not China) but have been to China within 14 days before coming to Viet Nam are also temporarily blocked from entry.

3. Foreigners entering Viet Nam for diplomatic and official purposes will be handled under normal entry after receiving medical examination at border gates and ensuring conditions for entry.

These restrictions apply from 00h00 February 5th, 2020.

This is an one of the necessary measures in order to prevent the spread and complicated movement of acute respiratory infections caused by 2019-nCoV.
