On April 15, 2022, Vice-Chairwoman of the City People's Committee Ngo Thi Kim Yen signed and distributed Decision No. 1012/QD-UBND approving the project on preventing child labor in toxic, harmful, and dangerous working environments, including online sexual exploitation of children and violations of minimum working conditions in Da Nang funded by World Vision International in Viet Nam (WVI/VN).
The 851,859 USD project will be implemented through September 2024 in 3 districts: Hai Chau, Son Tra, and Lien Chieu. It focuses on strengthening support for victims, reporting mechanism and partnerships to prevent and accelerate the resolution to child labor in toxic, harmful and dangerous environments, online sexual violence and violations of minimum labor conditions.
This project is built on the success of the previous project for ‘Protecting children and young people from the risk of online sexual abuse’ from September 2018 to September 2021 which was funded by WVI/VN with more than 700,000 USD through the Department of Labor - Invalids and Social Affairs of Da Nang City.
