Start-up Workshop on Livelihood Integration for Effective Depression Management Project
On 13th June 2017, BasicNeeds Vietnam, a British non-governmental organisation, in collaboration with the Da Nang Hospital for Psychiatry (DHP), organised the Kick-off Workshop for the Livelihood Integration for Effective Depression Management Project.

Attending the Workshop were experts in public health, mental health, social security, and communications from the Ministry of Health; Central Hospital for Psychiatry I; Women's Union of Thua Thien Hue Province; and Hue Hospital for Psychiatry. On the local side, there were representatives from the Department of Foreign Affairs (DOFA), Da Nang Women's Union, Da Nang Centre for Social Work Services, and women who are beneficiaries of the project.
In the 2013 – 2016 period, BasicNeeds Vietnam in cooperation with DHP successfully implemented the "Supporting the Development of Community Mental Healthcare and Development Model in Da Nang City" Project. From 2017 to 2019, BasicNeeds Vietnam is continuing to expand the above project with the addition of the component for "Livelihood Integration for Effective Depression Management" in Da Nang City and Thua Thien Hue Province. The project aims to improve mental health and economic development through the development of community-based depression care and sustainable livelihoods. The project was approved by the Da Nang People's Committee in May 2017. /.
