On 13th June 2017, BasicNeeds Vietnam, a British non-governmental organisation, in collaboration with the Da Nang Hospital for Psychiatry (DHP), organised the Kick-off Workshop for the Livelihood Integration for Effective Depression Management Project.
On 5th June 2017, the Da Nang City delegation, led by Mr. Lam Quang Minh, the Director of Department of Foreign Affairs, paid a working visit to Quang Tri Province to attend the meeting with the heads of the Representative Offices of Viet Nam in foreign countries. Participating in the meeting were 25 ambassadors and 9 consul generals who have just been appointed and are on their way overseas to begin their new term 2017-2020, together with representatives of provincial leaders and representatives of relevant departments from the Central provinces of Viet Nam.
In April 2017, the Japan-Việt Nam Friendship Association of Kawasaki City (JVFAKC), Japan, continued to sponsor 325 bicycles, 100% new quality, through the Đà Nẵng Union for Friendship Organisations (DUFO).
On 3rd June 2017, the Embassy of Italy in Viet Nam and Consulate General of Italy in Ho Chi Minh City together with the Marche Polytechnic University and Da Nang Museum of Cham Sculpture held the exhibition and presentation of the research project in “Champa Architecture: TempleTowers in Central Viet Nam”. The exhibition is taking place from 3rd June to 3rd September at the Da Nang Museum of Cham Sculpture.
The Da Nang International Fireworks Festival 2017 (DIFF 2017) has gone through 4 matches of the qualifying round, with eight competing teams from Austria, Japan, Switzerland, China, the United Kingdom, Australia, Italy and the host team Da Nang – Viet Nam. On Sunday, 4th June 2017, the DIFF 2017 Jury Panel has organized a meeting to select the three teams with the highest scores to display in the Grand Finale.
From 11th to 12th of May, the delegation from the Daegu Medical Tourism Promotion Institute (Korea), led by Mr. Cha Soon Do, Director General, came to Da Nang and inaugurated the Daegu Medicity Promotion Center in Family General Hospital. This is the second project that Daegu City has cooperated with Family Hospital recently. Previously, BL Cosmetic Dermatology Hospital in Daegu also coordinated with Family Hospital to set up and maintain operations of the Family - BL Beauty Center since 18th November 2016.
From 2nd to 7th April 2017, the Department of Foreign Affairs coordinated with the Da Nang Trade Promotion Centre to organise a successful business trip to Thailand and Myanmar with the purpose of inviting agencies and businesses in Thailand and Myanmar to participate in the 2017 International East–West Economic Corridor Trade, Investment and Tourism Fair (EWEC 2017), which is scheduled to take place from 11th to 16th August 2017 in 29th March Park, Da Nang City.
With the approval from the Da Nang People's Committee for the 2017 – 2019 period, BasicNeeds Viet Nam, from Britain, continues to implement the "Supporting the development of community mental healthcare and development model in Da Nang City: Livelihood Integration for Effective Depression Management (LIFE-DM)" project through partners the Da Nang Hospital for Psychiatry.
On 18th May 2017, Nikken Sekkei Ltd. Company, Japan led by its Chairman of the Board of Directors, Mr. Asami Hideki, had a meeting with the Chairman of the Da Nang People’s Committee, Mr. Huynh Duc Tho, in order to discuss the possibility of participating in the urban planning projects in Da Nang City.
On 28th April 2017, during their trip to Da Nang, the delegation from Gyeongsan City, Gyeongsangbuk (Korea), Vice Chairman of the Da Nang People's Committee Ho Ky Minh and Gyeongsan Deputy Mayor Kim Ho Jin had represented the leaders of the two cities to sign a Memorandum of Understanding on cooperating to develop the cosmetics industry between Da Nang and Gyeongsan.
