From 19th to 25th February 2017, the Da Nang Department of Foreign Affairs welcomed Mr. Masatoshi, a Japanese language expert to work in the Department under the Expert and Specialist Exchange Programme between Nagasaki and Da Nang. This Programme is set up and run by The Japan Council of Local Authorities for International Relations in cooperation with the Da Nang Department of Foreign Affairs.

Officials working in the Representative Office of Da Nang in Japan run by the Da Nang Department of Foreign Affairs had the opportunity to improve their Japanese skills as well as to broaden their insights into Japanese culture. Meanwhile, Mr. Okishima Masatoshi said the trip helped him to have more valuable information and knowledge about Viet Nam in general and Da Nang City in particular to introduce to his students in Japan.

In February, the Department of Foreign Affairs also offered a six-week internship for two Japanese students from Kibi University. In addition, the Director of the Department of Foreign Affairs welcomed JiJi Press Media group. At the meeting, the company expressed their desire to be facilitated by the Department to get more local and regional eco-social information for their magazines.

For many years, the Department of Foreign Affairs has always been trusted by foreign partners, especially Japanese partners as a reliable information, communication and cooperation channel.
