Leaders of Monbetsu City, Japan visited and worked in Da Nang
On 5th April, Mr. Tran Van Mien, Vice Chairman of the Da Nang People’s Committee had a meeting with the delegation of Monbetsu city, Japan, led by Mr. Tanahashi Kazuhiko, Deputy Mayor of the city. Attending the meeting were leaders of relevant departments of the two cities. Both sides exchanged their views on tourism development as well as experience in the fields of agriculture, forestry, fishery, and education promotion.
Mr. Tran highly appreciated the mission of the Monbetsu delegation to Da Nang and hoped that this visit would open up a wide range of opportunities for cooperation between the two cities. He also briefly introduced about the outstanding socio-economic achievements that the city has achieved in recent years, especially in the field of tourism.
On behalf of the delegation of Monbetsu City, Mr. Tanahashi expressed his sincere thanks to Da Nang's leaders for their thoughtful and respectful reception of the delegation. He appreciated the achievements that Da Nang has achieved in its socio-economic development, especially in terms of tourism. He believed that tourism would be a potential field for cooperation between the two cities, as this was also the strength of Monbetsu City. Apart from tourism, Monbetsu also had extensive experience in fishing and aquaculture, therefore the two sides could look forward to cooperation in these fields as well.
Before ending the meeting, Mr. Tran sent an invitation to the leaders of Monbetsu City to attend the Viet Nam-Japan Cultural Exchange Festival which was going to be held in late July.
