Export- Import Bank of Korea and the Korea Economic Development Co-operation Fund Work in Da Nang on Priority Projects in 2017
On 30th March, Standing Vice Chairman of the Da Nang People's Committee received the delegation of Korea Export-Import Bank (/KEXIM) led by Mr. Park Jong Kyu, Chief Representative of KEXIM in Ha Noi.
At the meeting, Vice Chairman Dang Viet Dung expressed his thankfulness to the Bank for their support to the Da Nang Nuclear Medicine and Radiotherapy Centre, and FS for the Phase 2 of the Information and Communication Technology Development Project. KEXIM's sponsorship of the IT project will help the city access financial resources to update and perfect the e-Government Information System and to develop IT applications to higher levels. The goal is to build a smart city, thereby improving the capacity of state agencies in monitoring and administration, and better serving the people and businesses in the city.
Vice Chairman Dung also said that the city is calling for investment in the fields of Information Technology and Communications as well as transportation such as monorails, underground transportation, and smart transportation.
Chief Representative of the Bank in Ha Noi - Mr. Park Jong Kyu expressed his pleasure in knowing that the city has officially sent a letter to the Korean Embassy to agree to receive KEXIMbank's grant to implement FS phase 2 of the IT project. Accordingly, the bank has prepared the budget and it is expected that this feasibility study can be started in June or the third quarter of this year. For the monorail project, he suggested the city provide detailed information, on which the Bank would have official feedback. According to the Bank, the projects proposed by Da Nang at this meeting were the priorities of the Bank.
