Delegation from VVA greet local authorities
In the afternoon of 13th February 2017, Mr. Dang Viet Dung, Vice Chairman of the Da Nang People’s Committee, held a welcome meeting for the delegation from Viet Nam Veterans of America (VVA), led by Mrs. Marsha Lynn Four, the Vice Chairman. Participating in the meeting were also the representatives from the Department of Foreign Affairs, the City Military Command, the Da Nang Union of Friendship Organisations and the Organisation of Veterans.
The Vice Chairman of the Da Nang People's Committee, Dang Viet Dung, welcomed the VVA delegation.
At the meeting, the Vice Chairman of Da Nang People's Committee, Dang Viet Dung, showed how he highly appreciated the support from VVA in the field of resolving the post-war consequences in the city in the past few years through humanitarian programmes and support to Victims of Agent Orange. These efforts not only positively contribute to the process of healing the wounds of the war but help boost the cooperation relationship between the two countries as well.
In order to thank the leaders of the Da Nang People's Committee for the warm welcome, Mrs. Marsha Lynn Four introduced some activities of the VVA in Viet Nam in the past few years, especially the Veteran Initiative Program (VIP). Also, VVA guaranteed to continuously support the resolution of the post-war consequences, especially in searching for the missing veterans during the war of both sides.
